Got a chance to watch a 2011 flop movie 7 Khoon Maaf on Netflix. This one is the story about a lady called Suzanne (role played by Priyanka Chopra) where she ends up marrying seven times.

Priyanka Chopra is the ‘Saheb’ of a rich household in Goa, who happens to come in charge of the house after her father and mother pass away while she is quite young. The movie is narrated by Naseeruddin Shah’s son, who grows up in the same house and ends up becoming a forensic specialist. The movie has top stars like John Abraham, Naseeruddin Shah, Usha Uthup, etc..all playing small roles, while Priyanka Chopra dominates the entire movie.

It started quite well with the first marriage to a Major in the army and Priyanka Chopra in her teenage years. The next marriage is to a scam artist, the third to a poet with sexual disorder, the fourth to a Russian spy, the fifth to a police man, the sixth to a doctor who tries to kill her and finally to <sorry I cannot reveal the suspense for those who might be interested in watching the movie even after my recommendation against it.>

Priyanka Chopra and her servants at her house end up killing the first six husbands one by one, with their own justification for killing them.

Priyanka Chopra’s role in simplest term is that of a ‘rich lady with low moral values’ – and I regret having spent almost three hours of my life watching the movie. At least I am glad, I can feel good about warning anyone reading this blog, not to watch the movie 🙂

This movie also reminded me of another flop movie called ‘What is your Rashee’ in which Priyanka Chopra comes in twelve different characters. Now I know to think twice (actually three or four times) before I watch another Priyanka Chopra movie.

There is one remix song in the movie – it comes during one of her weddings and it has a wonderful tune that I kept humming for quite some time after watching the movie.

In any case, overall the movie was pathetic, no wonder it got released in 2011 and is already on Netflix. Please try to save your time and thank me later, if you get a chance to skip this movie.
