Went to Dewberry’s restaurant in Mylapore, Chennai last night and it was a pleasant experience.

Dewberry’s is located off Radhakrishnan Salai, opposite Kalyani Nursing Home. Dewberry’s looks like a home converted into a restaurant (and they also have a boutique in the same section). You can prefer to get seated inside or outside, we chose to sit inside, knowing that the Chennai mosquitos are trained to carry people away.

We liked the list of items in the menu (and I wanted to get each one of them)!

For appetizers, we got the TriPeppers and Cheese Garlic items. They were quite ordinary, but since we were hungry, we finished it in no time.

Our main course took quite long to come and I was almost ready to leave without waiting for it.

In the main course, the first item to come was Cheese Mushroom, which was obviously cheesy and quite tasty too. I got the Vegetable Shashlik and I loved it. We also got the Chicken Mushroom Sizzler as well as the Oriental Chicken and I heard it was quite good.  All of us agreed that the items in the main course took longer to come, but it was definitely worth the wait.

Desserts were the best (as always, my most favourite part of the menu). I got a Fried Chocolate and it was the best dessert I have had in a long time. The hot cubes of chocolate, with a small amount of vanilla ice cream, when had together, just gave the satisfaction you long for in a dessert of your choice. We also got the Lychee vanilla ice cream as well as the ‘Simply Chocolate’. All of them were awesome and we felt it was a very good way to end the dinner.

Overall it was a nice experience and I would recommend Dewberry’s anytime.
