Sachin Tendulkar has announced his retirement from one day cricket and that has come as a big blow to many of his die hard fans, like me.
His recent form had been a lot of concern for many of us, and all of us knew this day would come, but when it came we could not imagine an Indian national team without Sachin. He has been around for 20+ years and it is not easy to just forget him.
Today, when I am watching this first one day international between India and Pakistan at Chennai, I am realizing that Sachin Tendulkar is not a part of the Indian team any more. It just hits you hard if you follow cricket, and harder if you are a die hard fan.
Though Sachin Tendulkar has become a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Rajya Sabha, we are not sure what to expect from him in his new role – exactly the same situation that we had when he first came on the international scene during the tour of Pakistan, when he came in and played the Pakistani spinner Abdul Qadir with confidence. Lets hope Sachin can emulate his on field performance with his contributions to the country off the field.
Good luck Sachin.
