Can Virat Kohli maintain his consistency?

Wednesday, March 14th, 2012

Virat Kohli appears to have all the stars aligned in the right places for him. He is just 23 years old, but already has eight international hundreds in the past year and a half.

After his magical century at Hobart (Tasmania, Australia) against Sri Lanka, and the announcement the very next day that he will be the vice-captain for India in the Asia cup, Virat Kohli appears to be in the news every where.

Virat Kohli made a wonderful start to his new role as vice-captain, with a wonderful century yesterday at Mirpur (Bangladesh).

Kotla Pitch Was Horrible – Just Accept it Delhi!

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

After the abandonment of the last one day between Sri Lanka and India at Ferozshah Kotla ground in New Delhi, there were many people screaming back and forth (as expected). Especially after the match refree went back and gave the worst possible rating to the pitch, Kotla will lose its chance to host an international match in the next 12 to 24 months, unless BCCI wields its money magic and comes up with one more of its tricks up its sleeve (which I am sure it has many).

Dinesh Karthik – Lucky again?

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

If you are following the India – Sri Lanka cricket series, you would have noticed that Dinesh Karthik has yet again been lucky to be included in the squad – or actually is it mere coincidence?

One key factor that has been mentioned is that Kris Srikkanth is the selector and that could be a main reason why Dinesh Karthik is getting his chances again and again.

Coincidentally, Dhoni has been suspended for two matches and that has also given Karthik yet another opportunity to play.

In the last match, he was very good in giving Sachin Tendulkar a good support helping India go through the formalities of completing the win without any other hiccups.

With Yuvraj also out and Dhoni sitting out for another match, we have to wait and see if Karthik makes best use of this opportunity.

We do know Rahul Dravid once called him a thinking cricketer, but lets see if he makes best use of this chance.
