I happened to watch the T-20 Champions League opener in South Africa for Chennai Super Kings against Central Districts. I was glad I watched it. Badrinath played an innings of his life time and won the man of the match award after his wonderful performance.

Badri came in at a time when Chennai had lost Hayden as well as Raina. After 10 overs, the half way mark, Chennai had lost Vijay also and were 48 for 3, with Badri and Anirudha in the middle. It was at that time that Badri showed his class. Chennai batsmen had been receiving quite a lot of short pitched deliveries until then from the Central Districts bowlers. Badri got one more short bouncer in the 11th over and he knew the next ball would be one too. His guess was right. He got a bouncer again and this time he choose to play an elegant upper cut over point for six. That shot was the turning point of the match and from then on for the next 10 overs Badri, Anirudha and Morkel smashed 100 runs in 10 overs.

Badri remained not out till the end and this is one of the best innings we have ever seen from him.

If you are a cricket fan, you will love watching this part of the match where Badri made all the difference.

I hope he plays many more such innings in his life. Good luck Badri.
